    Refund Policy

    Refunds are handled by Microsoft

    Doc Aura Pdf Notes is sold through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft is the merchant of record: they take the payment, issue the receipt, and process refunds under the Microsoft Store Terms of Sale.

    We never receive your payment details and have no ability to charge or refund your card directly.

    How to request a refund

    1. Go to account.microsoft.com/devices/content and sign in with the Microsoft account you bought the app with.
    2. Find Doc Aura Pdf Notes in your order history.
    3. Select Request a refund and follow the prompts.

    Microsoft generally considers refund requests made within 14 days of purchase, and applies its own eligibility criteria. The decision is Microsoft’s, not ours.

    Our position

    We will not oppose a refund request. If the app is not what you expected, does not work on your machine, or simply is not useful to you, we would rather you had your money back than feel stuck with software you do not want. If Microsoft asks us to confirm, we will confirm.

    Before you ask for a refund

    If something is broken or missing, please tell us first — a lot of problems are fixable, and we would rather fix them. Reach us at mbbscrux@gmail.com. A refund request is not required before contacting us, and contacting us does not affect your right to request one.

    If you tell us about a bug that made the app unusable for you, that is useful to us regardless of whether you keep the app.

    Try before you buy

    The Microsoft Store listing includes screenshots and a description covering what the app does. If you are unsure whether it fits how you study, ask us first — describe your workflow and we will tell you honestly whether it will help. We would rather lose a sale than take money from someone the app is not right for.

    What a refund means

    A refunded licence is revoked by Microsoft and the app will no longer install from the Store.

    Your files are unaffected. .dcnote files are ordinary files on your own disk; they remain readable, and a refund does not delete or lock anything you created.

    Privacy Policy

    Doc Aura Pdf Notes (“the app”) is a desktop study application published by Doc Aura (“we”, “us”).

    This policy is short because there is very little to say: the app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data.

    The app does not connect to the internet

    Doc Aura Pdf Notes makes no outbound network connections. It has no servers, no accounts, no sign-in, no cloud sync, and no online features of any kind. It works identically with your machine disconnected from the internet.

    Concretely, this means the app contains:

    • No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or usage tracking
    • No advertising or advertising identifiers
    • No cookies or web beacons
    • No automatic update checks
    • No fonts, scripts, or other assets loaded from remote servers — everything ships inside the app

    We therefore never receive any information about you, your device, or how you use the app. We could not identify a user of this software if we wanted to.

    Where your data lives

    Everything you create stays on your own computer:

    We have no access to any of it. Deleting a .dcnote file removes its contents permanently; there is no copy anywhere else.

    Please note: .dcnote files are not encrypted. They are ZIP archives, so anyone with access to the file on your device — or to a copy you share — can read the contents. Treat them like any other document. If you store sensitive material, use full-disk encryption or your operating system’s file permissions.

    Interactive HTML widgets

    The app lets you embed HTML/JavaScript snippets inside your notes. This content is written or pasted by you, runs in a restricted sandbox, and is governed by a strict content-security policy that blocks outbound network requests. We do not supply, inspect, or receive this content. As with any code you run, only embed snippets you trust.

    Purchases and the Microsoft Store

    The app is distributed through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft handles the entire transaction — payment, billing, licensing and refunds. We never see your payment details, card numbers, address, or Microsoft account.

    Microsoft’s own collection of data in connection with your purchase and your use of the Store is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement, not by this policy. Microsoft may provide us with aggregate, anonymised sales and usage statistics through Partner Center; this never identifies individual customers.

    Children

    The app is a general-purpose study tool. It collects nothing from anyone, including children.

    Your rights

    Data-protection laws such as the GDPR and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act give you rights to access, correct, and delete personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data about you whatsoever, there is nothing for us to retrieve, amend, or erase. Your data is entirely in your own hands, on your own device.

    Changes to this policy

    If a future version of the app introduces any feature that connects to the internet, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described in the app’s changelog.

    EULA (End-User License Agreement)

    This Agreement is between you and Doc Aura (“we”, “us”), and governs your use of the Doc Aura Pdf Notes software (“the Software”).

    By installing or using the Software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use it.

    1. Licence

    We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual licence to install and use the Software for your own study, work, or personal purposes.

    You are buying a licence to use the Software, not the Software itself. We retain all ownership of it.

    This licence does not expire. A version you have paid for continues to work indefinitely; we cannot and will not remotely disable it. The Software contains no licence server, no activation check, and no time limit — it does not connect to the internet at all.

    2. What you may do

    • Install and use the Software on any device you personally own or control.
    • Use it for any lawful purpose, including commercial and academic work.
    • Create, keep, and share the documents you produce with it. Your files are yours. We claim no rights over anything you create.

    3. What you may not do

    • Resell, relicense, rent, or redistribute the Software itself as your own product.
    • Remove or alter its branding, or present it as software you created.
    • Use the Doc Aura name or logo to promote another product.

    You may not decompile or reverse-engineer the Software, except where that restriction is void under applicable law — including your rights to study or achieve interoperability under India’s Copyright Act and comparable provisions elsewhere. Nothing here removes a right the law gives you.

    4. Updates

    Updates are delivered through the Microsoft Store. We make no commitment to any particular update schedule, or to adding any particular feature. Updates may change or remove functionality; the changelog records what changed in each version.

    5. Third-party components

    The Software includes open-source components, each under its own licence, listed in full under Open Source Notices inside the app. Those licences govern those components and, where they grant you rights beyond this Agreement, those rights prevail for that component.

    6. Your data

    The Software stores everything locally on your device and transmits nothing. See the Privacy Policy for detail.

    Keep your own backups. .dcnote files are ordinary files on your disk, subject to the usual risks — accidental deletion, drive failure, filesystem corruption. We have no copy of your work and cannot recover it for you.

    7. Purchases and refunds

    The Software is sold through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft is the merchant of record and handles payment, billing, and refunds under its own terms. See the Refund Policy.

    8. No warranty

    The Software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will meet your requirements.

    9. Limitation of liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Software is limited to the amount you paid for it.

    We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost data, lost work, lost profits, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility.

    Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer-protection law. If you are a consumer, you keep all statutory rights that apply to you, and those rights are unaffected by sections 8 and 9.

    10. Termination

    This licence ends if you materially breach section 3. On termination you must stop using and uninstall the Software. Your own files remain yours and are unaffected.

    11. Governing law

    This Agreement is governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory laws of your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings there where local law grants it.

    12. Entire agreement

    This is the entire agreement between us regarding the Software. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
